Oh my goodness!
Several of the gal's whose blogs 've been following have had their babies!! OMG! I know they were a little farther along than me (38 weeks to my 35) but I am sooooooooooo jealous! Of course I'm super happy for them too! I can't wait for Ali to announce that she's had her little one! I know it's strange, but I feel like I know these women, if only a little, from reading their blogs and getting to know them throughout their pregnancies. I'm so happy for them and their beautiful little miracles! Pretty soon it'll be my turn.. eek! lol

Pain and suffering.. with a light at the end of the tunnel
RIP Grandpa LaCourse, 4/26/28-2/15/12
We all love you and will miss you terribly. I have missed you for a very long time because you haven't been yourself since probably October. It breaks my heart to know that you did not want to suffer for so long, and yet you did. I am grateful that you are no longer in pain and hope that you're hunting and fishing up in heaven with Dana and Matt, and that you and grandma have reunited with little Denise and are happy. I wish you could have been well enough to meet my little girl, but I knew that with your comprehension slipping daily that you probably wouldn't have known who she was. I'm glad that I came to see you Sunday and that you recognized me. I made you smile for a moment, and that made me smile. For a second I saw my grandpa shine through the sickness and that moment will live with me forever. Thank you for calling me your favorite, for taking over as a father figure for the majority of my life. You've taught me so much. I have some wonderful memories with you, and I'm thankful for every one. I love you.
And with that, there is some happier news... Originally hubby was only going to take 2-3 days off work. The day I went in to deliver, possibly the day after, and the day I came home. Unless there were complications. I've been freaking out, because I'm a first time mom and I don't want to be all alone from the start. But now, he's been talking to the guys at work, and they all say that his company will give him a week off if he wants it. It would be without pay, but hubby gets a little more than a weeks worth of wages in his GI bill, and that will cover the week off. I really really hope the company is as forgiving as everyone says and will give him the week without question. So far it sounds like that's the direction they're leaning. I will be so happy to have hubby here with me for a whole week after our little girl makes her appearance! I'm really hoping I'll have her on a Friday, so I'll have 4 extra days (2 weeks of Sat/Sun) to spend with my family. But of course, I'm not banking on that... this little girl has her own agenda, lol.

Feeling kind of off today.. I've been too warm but my skin is cold. My palms have been sweaty.. along with other areas. Other than that I'm okay.. I've been getting some cleaning done (not enough to make me sweat tho) and made some phone calls, which have needed to be made for a month now. I got up a little late, so my eating and sugar taking is off somewhat. But it was the same way yesterday and I didn't feel like this. I'm starting to feel a little better, thankfully. And hopefully there's nothing wrong.. baby girl has been moving like normal so I know she's okay in there... If I start feeling worse I'm going to call my Dr. It would only be the 3rd or 4th time I've had to call this entire pregnancy. lol
On a happier note, I called in to tell work today that this was my last week I'll be working and requested to be removed from the schedule. So now I won't have to stand 4-5 hours at a time without breaks. I'm grateful that they are willing to let me take a "leave of absence" and if and when I'm ready I can call and be put back on the schedule. I'm not sure I'm going back to be honest. The first few months I want to spend with my baby getting to know her and then after I have to start school in the fall I'll be busy being mommy and student.. so hopefully I won't be so busy doing all that.

35+2!!
How far along? 35 weeks 2 days.. we're getting closer!
Total weight gain/loss: yet again I have lost weight. I am
up 10.2 (which I know is only .2 less than last week, but during the week I
went up to 11.4) so odd... my Dr even noticed this time..
Maternity clothes? just a few pants and tops, I'm very
thankful that I don't have to spend a ton of money on clothes I'll only wear a
few weeks!
Stretch marks? So far just the 3 I've had but the one is
starting to look pretty ugly..
Sleep: going strong most nights. The past few nights I've
slept a good 5-6 hours straight off the bat, then my cat wakes me up and I'm up
for a while... ugh
Best moment this week: getting to hear my baby's heartbeat
at my NST today!!
Have you told family and friends: Yes!
Miss Anything? um..
heh, I posted a rant about this earlier..
Movement: still everyday thank goodness, and she gets
hiccups at least once a day, usually around the time I'm trying to go back to
sleep from being woke up by either the cat or hubby leaving for work. She's
been kicking less and stretching more, so I know she's running out of space in
there!
Food cravings: yup, sugar! soda, CARBS! lol
Anything making you queasy or sick: not really as long as I
don't think about string cheese...
Have you started to show yet: Yes, and I'm measuring right
on track so far thankfully
Gender: she's a girl!
:)
Size of baby: I've
heard she's the size of a crenshaw melon.. don't know what that is though
Labor Signs: None thank goodness! I still can't go past my
due date according to my Dr. I think she'll maybe let me go a week, but
probably not..
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: moody.. sad moody..
grandpa's not doing so well and my mom is just plain annoying...
Looking forward to: my ultrasound on Friday!!! Can't wait to
see my little girl again and hopefully find out how big she's gotten!
A bit of a rant...
I miss the days of eating whatever I want.. No, I wouldn't over do it and "eat for two" but I miss eating carbs without a care and fruit in my cereal in the morning.. hell, I miss cereal in the morning. I miss fruit juice and Tim Hortons ice capps, oh and their bagel belts with sausage.. I miss bagels and pasta and not having to eat the same damn thing every single day. I hate having to take my sugar 4x a day, my fingers are all so sore. I am losing weight, my Dr's noticed... doesn't seem concerned yet, but it's the first time my weight loss has made her say anything. I told her it's because of the gd diet and that I'm still always hungry. She brushed that off but wrote something in my chart. I WANT FOOD DAMN IT! I miss enjoying what I eat and not being scheduled to eat at certain times throughout the day.. it's annoying. But, in the end... if it keeps my little girl healthy I can suck it up. After all.. it's only a few more weeks... I hope...

It's a survey! About pregnancy! No way! lol
Pregnancy Survey!
Got this fun pregnancy survey from Ali on her blog! Loved
her answers and decided to do my own! :)
1. What name did you and your spouse call your baby before
you knew the gender?
I called her "Squishy" from Finding Nemo. Hubby
just said "baby" for the most part, but now calls her
"Peanut" :)
2. When did "Oh-my-gosh-we're-having-a-baby"
really sink it?
It still hasn't completely sunk in yet! I mean I get moments
of "we're really having a baby!" like when we saw her for the first
time on an ultrasound and when I feel her really moving and grooving! But
honestly, I don't think it'll be fully real until we have her home.
3. When you think of yourself as a mom, what's the first
thing to come to mind?
gentleness and hopefully learning from my mom's mistakes.
4. Is your nursery complete? What's the theme and what do
you have left to complete?
Almost done, we just have to finish cleaning up the side
opposite of the crib and the closet... that and add some art to the walls.
There's really no theme, they were all too expensive. SO I decided on PINK! :)
5. List 5 qualities you hope your baby will possess:
1. easy going, 2. good sleeper, 3. happy, 4. good cuddler,
5. her daddy's eyes
6. What's your ideal labor experience?
painless, 1-2 hour labor total and to have her out in 2-3
pushes. Yeah, right like that's going to happen! LOL
7. List 5 things that have changed in your relationship with
your spouse since you've been pregnant:
We talk about being parents a lot more now. Really the
changes that have happened between us have come as a result of hubby's new job,
not my being pregnant.
8. List 5 things you think will change once your baby
arrives:
#1. less sleep
#2. Less free time to just surf
the internet/play games #3. Less quiet time #4.
More music #5. more
dancing/walking/bouncing!
9. Where do you think you'll be when you go into labor? Why?
hopefully at home.. it's why I only took online classes this
semester!
10. Have you been talking to your baby? Playing music?
I do sometimes, mostly I just think to her. Hubby talks to
her at least once a week. We've played music for her through headphones on my
tummy only once, but she hears all the music I play in the car and such so
that's good.
11. In what ways do you hope your baby is like your spouse?
Oh his eyes, his beautiful skin tone and ability to tan not
burn. His easy going-ness, his fun loving nature... his awesome math skills
12. In what ways do you hope your baby is like you?
independence, love of animals especially cats, love of
learning, musical interests, love for acting and being on stage... creativeness
and artistic nature.
13. How long will you wait for the next baby, or if this is
your last one, why/why not?
I am not sure if we will be blessed with another baby. I
know I do not want them very close together, but not terribly far apart.. maybe
2-3 years. I don't want to get pregnant after 35 years old (I have about 6
years left) so we'll see how that works out for us. *It's higher risk of downs
after 35, plus it's more dangerous for me so I just don't want to risk it...*
14. What kind of grandparents do you think your baby will
have?
Well I wish I could say she will have grandparents like
hubby and I have, but unfortunately both our father's have passed away and
hubby doesn't speak to his mother.. that leaves my mom. My crazy,
overemotional, always thinks she's right even when proven wrong mom. She's also
got quite a lot of health issues as well as a drinking problem.. so I don't
know if our baby will have any grandparents at all unfortunately.
15. Who will be with you during labor? Who will visit you in
the hospital during your recovery?
My hubby and that's it. I told my mom she could come visit
after I'm in recovery but I don't want anyone else there really.
16. How much will you tell your baby (child, teenager) about
your past? Why/why not?
Eventually I'd like her to know everything about me. Her age
and maturity level will dictate what I tell her and when. As far as hubby's
past... we may or may not tell her everything.. and if so she'll be a mommy
herself before she learns a lot of it.
17. Do you have any hopes for your child's activities?
(Sports, academics, school preference, activities, etc)
I would love for her to be interested in playing a musical
instrument! I hope she loves school and gets good grades and that she wants to
be in the school plays and musicals. As far as sports.. if she's interested
that's wonderful, but I won't be pushing anything on her.
18. When will you tell your baby about the birds and the
bees?
I hope to have mini conversations with her throughout her
adolescents, all age appropriate. Eventually I will tell her as much as I know,
hopefully helping her to avoid making certain mistakes and having to wait till
she's in her late 20's to learn certain things.
19. In what ways do you hope you'll parent like your parents
did? In what ways do you hope you aren't like them?
I hope that I can instill the same values my mom and
grandparents did, and to be able to have a very open relationship. My mom
always encouraged me to come to her with any problem, question or anything. It
was nice. I hope that I don't end up like my mom has in that she's very
overbearing and always has to be right. She's basically pushed me away as an
adult.
20. Which childhood memory do you hope your child will have
(similar to one you fondly remember)?
Hmm.. listening to me and her daddy tell her bedtime
stories, staying up late on the weekends and watching movies with us, playing
cards and board games with us.. basically family time. :)
21. And finally, Be annoying! What "advice" do you
want newly pregnant women to know?
Listen to your body, use common sense when choosing the
foods you eat (like certain cheeses or deli meat, caffeine especially) Don't
listen to anyone who says you are "too small" or "too big"
for the stage of pregnancy you are in.. unless it's your Dr. Enjoy the
attention you get from everyone, let your partner help around the house and
praise the job he does even if it's not up to your standards! Don't let anyone
else but you and your partner feel the baby kick. It's a special bond shared by
people who created that life.

34 weeks .. 3-6 more to go!
How far along? 34 weeks! Still going strong!
Total weight gain/loss: From what I can tell, I'm about 10.4 up.. it's still up and down quite a bit
Maternity clothes? Still only the few articles from before, thankfully I'm still able to wear much of my old wardrobe.. although I'm not sure how long that's going to last.
Stretch marks? So far just the 3 I've had for the past few weeks.. thankfully. I really am not looking forward to baby girls growth spurt and seeing what that does to my tummy..
Sleep: still getting about 3-4 hours at a time, thankfully. But lately my kitty has been keeping me awake by trying to knock stuff off of the coffee table. It's soooo annoying
Best moment this week: hubby and I had a date night on Friday! Shopping for veggies and then cards nibbling on veggies and hummus! Then some relaxing time watching Heros. (Netflix rocks)
Have you told family and friends: Yes!
Miss Anything? Still the same things from previous weeks.. but I cannot wait to sleep on my tummy again!
Movement: every day! :) I love feeling her move, and now it seems that her head is out of my pelvis b/c I don't feel the hiccups there anymore.. I feel them near my left hip... scary..
Food cravings: yup, ever since yesterday it's been those darn caramel chocolate apples we made yesterday for my shower
Anything making you queasy or sick: not really as long as I don't think about string cheese...
Have you started to show yet: Yes, but apparently I am not as "big" as I should be for 8 months plus pregnant (according to some people)
Gender: she's a girl! :)
Size of baby: she's about the size of a honeydew melon!
Labor Signs: None thank goodness! I still can't go past my due date according to my Dr. I think she'll maybe let me go a week, but probably not..
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: moody.. but that's b/c I haven't really seen hubby all week and when I do he's really tired and moody himself.. he's worked really hard this week tho, so I understand
